    2 x EK I 1914 - Wagner ?

    Welcome.

I have twins. All the elements are identical.
Signature in the same places. But there is little difference.
One thing is evident, "W" (Wager?) Or "M"? The second is a little broken.
    What are your opinions?

    Greetings.

Very nice and early private purchase crosses!

These marks are no maker marks but rather controll marks, possibly by the worker who assembled the cross. Their actual meaning is unknown, but this is the most likely thing.

So these two crosses are probably from the same - unknown - maker, but assembled by two different workers.

I think Sascha is absolutely correct.
Both are very nice crosses and your photographs are wonderful.

Sounds right. Those crosses look great, no doubt aided by the nice photography.

Thank you very much for the experience and fun words.
Before I thought that Ek is from Wagner. Large pictures of signatures gave a new view. Very real.
Paste the last picture of the front. I really like this cross.

          Greetings.

Although the "W" is not for Wagner here, it may well be by Wagner, however.

Maybe someone recognizes the frame(s) as one used by Joh. Wagner & Sohn ?!

I don't think they are Wagners. The frame beading is different as is
              the hinge and pin.

Perhaps you're right. The frame and the core are different.
Wagner had a sharp pin, but used a similar hinge and catch!
Another signature of the technical control do at this point on the pin.

We are pleased to see other 1914 EK I similar to my "brothers".
