yesterday i received a Württemberg Merit Cross without Swords with case.
I can't find any informations about this cross in the Internet. I'd like to know for what it was awarded and how much.

thx for your welcome . I used the search function first, before I started this Thread. But I didn't find the Infos I needed. Most of them are about the Merit Cross with Swords but not without. I keep trying.

No problem,

the Merit Cross was the typical award for middle class officials and soldiers on the Feldwebel level.
It was a general merit award mostly given for looong years of distinguishes service.
The lower ranks like governemental workers and soldiers like enlisted men and junior NCO´s received the Frederick or Crown Order medal and the more senior ranks just below officer ranks were awarded the cross of merit.
