Prussian flag - 1918? is this a original flag?

Hello HORYIOSHI:
Interesting IMO pre-1919 Imperial German Government
service flag, based on material and construction. Design
seems to be a variation on the normal wider black & red
stripe type, why that is I can't say - maybe to make eagle
look larger for recognition? Great price, worth 10X IMO.

(below) Imperial German Government Service flag, with normal
wide stripes, but short fly for Colonial Forces Trooping use - a
replica I had made for display back when I did militaria shows.

The Imperial German flag is older and much rarer than any
WW2 nazi service flag. As such, IMO, even in the condition
shown, it is worth at least $500 USD. But as you got it for
a song and your "friend" wants it for his room to display, and
not resale, you could always choose to double your money.
Just depends how good a "friend" your dealing with. I traded
a SS helmet to a good friend, & he still has it on his collecting
room shelf after many years - long before SS prices went crazy.
