I'm pretty sure that's what this is, but I'd like to be sure since it's so ragged, and the ribbons don't have white on both ends (cut down?). Picked it up for a buck.

No, this is not an EK ribbon, stripes are too wide. I'd say one of many unofficial or commemorative or shooting medals. -

The ribbon looks to be for a Freikorps award of the Selbstschutz-Battalion Bergerhof, their cross for Upper Silesia, 2nd class (listed in my old Nimmergut price guide as #3329). It may have also been used for other awards from the same period, such as veterans' groups, but that's the only match I could find.
