It's not imperial German. It's a Belgian Order of Leopold. It'll be hard to repair the damaged part.

It is belgian Order of Leopold II., Knight´s Cross.
Order of Leopold is another award.
You miss the most important enamelled part of the cross by which you can differ, if the particular award was produced before 1951 (monolingual version - text only in flemish or only in french), or after 1951 (bilingual text in both languages).

My advice - It is not expensive cross, rather buy another than reconstruct this one. Real prize is about 20 euro (bilingual) to 40 euro (monolingual with swords on ribbon with case).
