Ribbon Bars with the Imperial Hausorden von Hohenzollern Medal

Hi everyone. Wanted to share some photos with you of my ribbon bars featuring this prestigious imperial award. One of the finest quality awards ever made

Although there is no nice shiny enamel ware here. Hope you enjoy and feel free to post yours too

Starting with an Imperial bar from Wurttemberg.

Very nice 5 place ribbon bar with the Brunswick front fighter and Vor Dem Feinde clasps. One of my favourites.

4 placer belonging to an officer from Baden.

Moving onto men with service within the Third Reich. This beautiful bar still remains unidentified

Another nice 5 place example with the wiederholungsspange and Silesian eagle.

Last one a 10 place ribbon bar with the Turkish "Gallipoli Star", Eiserner Halbmund.

Alan, I hate to be - again - the bearer of bad news, but the 1st and 2nd bar shown here are recent fakes in my honest opinion.



The others are probably nice, and I especially like #5.

Bummer.
I found the Wurttemberg bar really interesting beacuse it had both the pre and post April 1914 military merit ribbon.

May i ask why you think they are fakes saschaw? I bet Alan also wants to know...

Ribbons on the Wuttemburg bar are:

1. Iron Cross 1914-18,
2. Hausorden von Hohenzollern,
3. Wurttemberg Friedrichs-Orden Ritterkreuz with swords,
4. Wurttemberg Wilhelms cross with Swords,
5. Centenarmedaille 1897,
6. Wurttemberg Friedrichs-Orden – Ritterkreuz 1st or 2nd class,
7. Wurttemberg Rettungsmedaille Kaiser Wilhelm II 1897-1918,
8. Wurttemberg commemorative medal Silver Hochzeitsmedialle 1911 (Wedding Medal)
9. Wurttemberg service medal either for 15 years (1st class or for 9 years 2nd class).

Pierce and I did a bit of research on these ribbons when I first got the piece.

All the pictures were done with flash, which enhances ribbons brightness.

Wrong devices, odd precendences, combinations I cannot find a wearer for - and they came, if I'm not totally wrong, from one of my "favourite" eBay sellers.

The last thing is enough for me not to toucht them.

Really nice bars you show here Alan. I have been searching for a good two-place EK2/HoH3X bar for a long time. The problem is that the devices come in so many different types, and I want a really nice one. Some look very cheap.

I guess the bar itself is questionable, but I love this device. Real quality:
