1914 Iron Cross 2 class?

Please help me with this IC.
Is this an original 2nd class IK 1914?
Iron core is magnetic. 3 parts and the frame seem to be silver.

The "4" in 1914 seems to be different to me. However you mention "slant W" core. If you have noticed I have asked about another IC but 1st class also with "slant W" core.
The "4" is the same style on both my crosses 1st & 2nd class.

These two crosses came from the same man. Could that mean anything or maybe I'm out on deep water? I’m a novice as you can clearly understand.
