    Austro-Hungarian Org Veteran Badge?

I have this badge measuring 60x75 mm. It appears to have been part of something else, perhaps a gorget or something. Can somebody positively identify this or even better post a picture of one in its entirety? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers Erwin

It appears to be a pre-WWI veteran's membership badge and I believe it's complete. The prongs on the back are a common fastening device on Austrian badges and would have been hooked through thread loops on a jacket.

Yes, it's the badge of the Imperial Austrian Veterans' Association. The piece is complete and original.

They were fastened to the tunic by menas of thread/cloth loops or, sometimes (but barely officially) on black/yellow cockades.

It's a very decorative badge indeed.

Thank you everyone. It is a decorative badge indeed. I've never come across those kinds of pins before which lead me to assume it was a part of something else.

        Thanks
        Erwin
