    Three new feldspangen

Recently I got these three little bars. Nothing special, but i find them interesting. The Baden Zahringen Loewen/EK2 combos are Baden first and Prussa first variants, but the single spange (which was in neat little box) is more misterious. It was sold as Hessen Ludwigsorden, but I think it's not that one - Ludwigsorden has two narrow black stripes, which are absent on mine. Other possibilities are Bayern Heiligen Michaels, but the width of stripes is not correct. Similar are Wuerttemberg Olga orden, Karl-Olga medaille or Rettungsmedaille. But I believe this is Ehrenzeichen deutsches feuerwehrverbandes, 1928 (source: Deutsches Banderbuch, Willi Geile, 1986, plate 44). What do you think?

Those are nice, I like anything with Zaehringen Loewen. I think the nice boxed one is Bayern Michaelsorden.

Very nice ribbon bars Valter, love those Zahringer Lions! Regarding the 1-place; is the centre stripe jet black or navy blue? It most likely is the Bayern Michaelsorden but may as well be sure.

        Kind regards
        Pierce

          Hello Pierce,
the center stripe of single bar looks black to me (the pictures aren't 100% true colors), but it could be also very dark - midnight blue. When I return home, I'll check again on daylight. Thanks for opinion!

            Nice ones!

I think the middle stripe of the boxed bar is dark blue. Could be either Bavarian St. Michael order or the Feuerwehr-Ehrenkreuz, which used, if I'm not totally off, the very same ribbon - and for the crosss a design pretty close to the Bavarian MVO (für the Ehrenkreuz 1st class) and Bavarian MVK (for the Ehrenkreuz 2nd class).

The firefighters' award was a very high honour and usually given to people that had a ton of other FF awards, so the Michael is more likely for a single bar.

Sascha, thanks for your valuable opinion! The central stripe looks more black to me (the second pic is more accurate), but it could be also very dark blue. I opted for feuerwehr b/c Michael's ribbon should have narrower red stripes to my reference.
