Help me I.D. these medals (7 place medal bar)

OK guys. I need a little help here. Have an oppertunity to buy this but I can only ID the 2nd class iron cross, the hindenberg cross w/swords and yes, it's a 40 year TR cross. What are the rest of the medals? It comes with the matching ribbon bar too.

For the big question...please give me a fair market value on this one.

Nice bar. You've got a Bavarian Military Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords, a Bavarian Luitpold Jubilee Medal, a Bavarian Long Service Cross and a Hungarian WW1 Service Medal. I would say a fair price on this bar would be about 350.00-400.00 USD.

That is a very nice medal bar and everything about it looks completely original, IMO. The matching Feldspange looks nice too! At least from what I can see of the reverse.

      Best regards,

A very nice medal and ribbon bar group. In good condition, nicely mounted.

        Kind regards

The Bavarian 2nd class cross would cost you $150 by itself. Gary

Or even more. The other decorations are not rare or expensive though, but the bar is very nice. The best "added value" is it's completeness and the insight into the career of this guy - a Bavarian NCO most likely. He was at service in 1905 already, did his fighting in WW1, then probably transfered to some civil state service, completing 40 years (maybe a bit less, as war years should count double).

From the blurry picture is seen that the ribbon bar is more worn (soiled) than medal bar - and that's how it should be, b/c this buy was regularly wearing the ribbon bar, and full medal bar only occasionaly.

              Hello Valter,

I do not think military service in wartime counted double toward the awarding of Third Reich Faithful Service Decorations. You did get credit for military & wartime service, obviously, but only as straight time. (Same for Wehrmacht Long Service Decorations.)

With the awarding of Imperial Long Service Decorations, though, you did get double credit for wartime service in WW1.

              Best regards,
              Tom

I apologize, Tom, you're correct. I probably messed up with imperial LS.
