What helmet is this?

Can anyone shed light as to what helmet is depicted in this portrait? The tunic appears to be for the Prussian Guard Curassier Regt., but the helmet bears a plate as worn on the leather guard helmets rather than the Black Eagle Order plate seen on helmets of the GdC and GK. Is this just the artist's fancy or was a helmet like this actually worn?

Zu Salm Sword

I have a very large cuirassier sword that has the zu Salm crest on the pommel cap.
