                  Congratulations, a beautiful MVO
I suppose that it's a Jacob Leser or Hemmerle piece, I believe that Weiss & Co never did the third class

One of the nicest German orders out there... thanks!

No idea about the maker. Might well be Hemmerle, unless it's an older one.

                        Really beautiful!

The entire MVO/MVK system is the most confusing thing in the whole hierarchy of German states' awards.

MVO... MVK... 1st Class of 2nd type, 2nd type of 3rd Class, 3rd type of 1st class... swords, no swords... flames, no flames....

My hat is off to anyone who knows the intricacies of this beautiful award.
                        Best regards,
                        Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

                          Well...

This one is, depending if it's pre- or post-1905, a "knights cross 1st class of the military merit order" or a "military merit order 3rd class".

It did not change the style, but just the name, while the earlier "knights cross 2nd class" - gold cross with no flames - became the "military merit order 4th class", the well known silver (blue enemaled) cross with flames.
