    KDM Doc help

I've had this doc for some time and I used to have the information recorded as to who it it was awarded to etc. However, I lost the info, along with the rest of my hard drive, in February. I'm looking to sell it now to help fund some recent acquistions and would like to communicate its details to the new owner. Can anyone help me out with who it was awarded to and what unit he was from?

    Thanks so much!!
    Brian

Oh, THAT was easy. Trying to get something beyond "Lrhchaenholm" out of the Major's scribble!...

The Major commanding the Landw. Bez. at the time was "Loewenberger von Schoenholz"- As was customary for compound names, he signed his name as "v. Schoenholz".

                Glenn,

I stumbled across this forum about a week ago, and I've been waiting for a good point to jump in, and this seemed like as good as any.

Munich is grand!! As the weather warms up, the beergardens are looking far more inviting! I've been able to find several more Offizier-Stammlisten, and the mail time (and expense) to Munich is far shorter and cheaper than to the States. It's great to be back.

How about you? Hope all is well. I can tell from your many postings that your library continues to grow.

I look forward to participating in this forum- a great deal of interesting questions and responses. Would it be worth while to post an "introduction" and mention the areas in which I think I can make a contribution?

                Andy

I currently have 32 Offizier-Stammlisten (31 infantry and 1 cavalry) and one on order (GR 12). These are, as you know, a tremendous source of information on individual officers. Just last month, I finished entering all the names (over 16,000) into an ACCESS database, and can search on any number of fields. So, if you have any questions, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

When I get home, I'll post a list of what I have, and include highlights of other types of references I have acquired over the last 13 years, as well as my areas of interest.

                    Andy

PS- Just last August I moved to Germany from Charles Country, MD. Too bad I didn't know about this forum then!

                      WOW!!!!!!
Would you be willing to perhaps help a poor, miserable worm of a researcher by throwing a few xeroxs his way?
                      I can trade..
16K-amazing-that's about 35% of the officer corps over 100 years?
                      You guys are amazing.
