    BWB and SWB Additions

    Hi all,

I wanted to show my latest additions: a BWB marked "DRGM" and a "SWB". Thanks my buddy that supplied these to me!

I also wanted to show off the WWI collection so far. The prize for me is the hollow Juncker Pilot's.

Nice, Chad. I like to see WB sets by the same maker. I appreciate the symmetry. Now you just need a gold grade from the same stamp.

Great little group Chad! I've never had an Imperial WB, only TR. Your 2 look exceptional though. A nice, good looking group, all together. Hope to see you around these parts more often!

              Kraal,

The EK1 is an '800'. They say it is a hybrid between Meybauer and Godet.

The EK2 is an MFH. It was actually one of the first badges that I ever purchased. Although I had no clue about authenticity back then. I don't know if it's a one piece, as WW1 and EKs in general aren't my forte . Here are pics to see if you can tell.

              Thanks,
              Chad

                  Hi Chad,

Your EK1 really doesn't have anything in common with a Meybauer (except that the pin looks similar, but other makers used this pin as well) or a Godet, but is in fact a beautiful specimen all its own.
                  Best regards,

Thanks Trevor. Any chance there's a maker known on this?

In my opinion, the likliest maker is "N or Z," but as far as I know there are no EK1s with this maker's mark, just EK2s. That fact notwithstanding, yours looks like it shares a frame and core with the type to me. I wouldn't wager money on it though.

                      Best regards,

                        Aah, okay.

Colour of the core and frame looked so similar I assumed they might be made from the same material. But now, sure, a clear MFH

The EK1 can be found with the generic slant W core as well. Never seen a maker mark on these through.

Chad, you need a gold wound badge and a screw back ek1 variant.
