    Ribbon Bar Opinions

I picked up this bar and would like your thoughts, good or bad.

After the Bulgarian and Hungarian awards on the right end we have the Friedrich August Medal for EM/NCO's which is a Saxony award. Then after the WWI Honor Cross I can't identify the red and white ribbon - is that a Hanseatic Cross? If so, that is from Hamburg.

Is it possible that those two state awards could be on that bar?

Should there be a long-service award? The number 2 ribbon I'm assuming is a KVK2(?) making it at least circa 1939.

Very nice ribbon bar. Do you have a shot of the reverse that you can post?

Given the position of the 5th ribbon i.e. after the Honour Cross and before the Hungarian Medal....it is possible that this could be a foreign award...perhaps the Swedish Order of the Sword. I have never seen an FA Medal with swords, especially in that position on a ribbon bar.

There should not necessarily be a long service award on every ribbon bar.
No.2 is the KVKx ribbon and No.3 does look like a Hamburg Hanseatic Cross ribbon.

    Kind regards

That ribbon is in fact a Saxon medal, the Friedrich August Medal; I'm just wondering what the likelihood is of two different states' awards on there. Seems somewhat odd.
