"Elefantenorden" - Good or Fishing Lure?

    Hi guys!
I just received this Elefantenorden with an Imp 1914 EK II (which I'll post in a bit) and in comparing it to good ones there's things I like about it and others I don't!
All input would be greatly appreciated so I know whether to return or keep here!
    Thanks a ton!
    Greg

Seems like the obverse details are a little weak, and the pitting is noteworthy. I like the hardware setup on the reverse, but there seems to be an awful lot of these appearing on the market lately

OK, I'll go out on a limb. IMO it's fake. On the obverse, the lettering definition gets worse from left to right. Same on the back. The pitting is too numerous and grievous to suggest a period made piece.
