    Ek1 ko

    Thoughts?

    Personally I think it's a Frankenstein. I don't like the KO mark,
the pin and catch, and the arms are really cut unevenly. As if the
entire back has been replaced. ----- Plus I don't even think the core
is a KO. I was thinking maybe AWS.

I would need some photos of the obverse that are not at an oblique angle to be sure about the core, but overall I have a few doubts as well, mostly the same as Greg's.

By the way I think the EK2 bar HERE may also need a discussion thread.

I'm not sure about who may have made the core, but I agree with everything else.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

Does anyone recognize this core? I'm not saying it's bad -- it may be good and rare. But it's unknown to me.

To the seller: Is this a magnetic core?

I appreciate the input on these Eks. You guys know much more than I do about them. The Ek 2 does have a magnetic core. Maybe I Should edit my post on the cased Ek 1 explaining that it does have issues.
              Thanks again, Terry
