I have recently bought my first Heer belt (along with a WWII buckle). The belt is marked "F. Fischer" and beneath "K ??". I can't read it. Maybe K55 or K88 or even K83. If anyone knows of such markings I'm curious to hear what they mean and what is most likely written on my belt?
In another place on the belt it says "GR1" and something I can't read. Could that be a troop mark? Garde Regiment or Grenadier Regiment?
I have found out that this type of belt was introduced in 1915 and used all the way up to 1935 where a new type came out with different metal hook (I think?). I'm excited to have found a WWI belt since I usually collect WWII items only.
