    EKII 1914 "S-W" for Review/Opinions

This has been sitting at one of my local antique stores for quite a while now and I've thought about picking it up. I apologies that the quality of the photos isn't the best, but hopefully enough can be seen to make a good judgment on it.

Since these have the rough core, are they considered early, sand-cast examples similar to the 1870 EKs?

    Thanks for looking.

Looks good to me and yes this one has a cast core.

No problems with this one. It's a so-called "Type B 1914" core, inspired by, if not copied from, the famous Type B 1870 core, discussed HERE.
      Best regards,

Looks good to me as well. A very nice example.

Thanks for the confirmation gentlemen. The price on this cross is $45, but if I ask I can get 10% off of that. It seems like a pretty good deal to me.

$45 sounds like a very reasonable price for that cross to me. So if you can get it for even less I'd say you've got yourself a real bargain. Would anyone else care to weigh in on this?

                Best,

                Alex

Unfortunately, someone scooped me on this one. It never fails, this thing sits in the store for 2 YEARS and as soon as I get it authenticated, someone ends up buying it.

Oh well, that's life I guess.

Sorry you missed out, nice cross, nice price.

Oh no! That's too bad. Better luck next time.
