          Hi.

Could you write more about that badge? When was produced, who recieved it etc.?
What about "wehrwolf"? After ww2 exists (probably). How was during ww1?

          thanks for all information.

Wehrwolf in this context was an ex-servicemen's association which grew from a smaller group set up to resist the French occupation of the Ruhr. It should not be confused with other Wehrwolf groups such as the resistance movement of 1944-45 under Hans Pruetzmann. They all derived their names from a pre-WW1 novel called 'The Wehrwolf', about earlier military resistance during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon.

This Wehrwolf group, of over 100,000 ex-servicemen, was also known as the 'Bund deutscher Maenner' and was disbanded in the early-mid 1930s with many members going into the SA. They went under the banner of the death's head. If you look at photos of parades from the 1920s-30s and see large black flags with white skulls and an Iron Cross in the canton - that's Wehrwolf men.

A short explanation of a very complex subject.

The badge is just the membership badge they wore with civilian clothes. Many thousands were produced, but they are now quite rare.

I would assume the later 1945 group had no devices. As they were hunted down and executed by Allied troops.
