Imperial russian medal chest?

Its a black chest, 24,5 by 20,5 by 3 cm's. Inside are 5 compartments 2 on each side and a large one in the middle, dressed with a brown velvet.

On top is a metal frame, 13 by 9,5 with inside red velvet and a large imperial metal silvered eagle.

The velvet is recent, i think 30 years old, some mot bites and stains on it. Also impressions of pins from medals.

your opinions please, real or trash?

Probably trash. Someone has been using that identical eagle device over the past ten years or so to give a Romanov flavor to gift items. I have an eight or nine year old magnifying lens with exactly that same circle and eagle device on it. In other words: it would appear that somebody has stuck a new made disc onto an old jewelry box - at least, in my humble opinion...

I've got two items with that disc fastened to them. Both discs are epoxied or soldered to metal surfaces, so I can't say whether they are stamped or cast. My gut reaction is that they're stamped...
