Here is a question for the Iron Cross experts. This is an Iron Cross First class with a blank front like the 1813’s. The back is marked D&S above 800 in the center. At the bottom along the edge is “DESCHLERSOHN” The frame and black center are one piece and not two. Size is 41.9 mm across and has a modern looking flat tapered pin. What should be silver looks more like copper-nickel or pewter. Is this a collectors copy or replica or just an outright fake? Could Deschler really have made this? Thanks, Fred
