          Thanks for your kind words, guys. I really enjoy putting together matched sets. My collection is actually pretty modest in size. But I try to make up for that with these sets, and by hunting down EKs that are in the best possible condition. So your words reassure me that I'm still on the right track.

            Yes, you've even matched the condition.

            They look great.

            Incidentally, there was a discussion recently about the "Godet" core. Then, I learned that the same core design may be found both cast and (later) stamped from sheet metal. I think Chris showed a cast one.

            Your crosses here show a very, very common core design (as I'm sure you know), but one that is more commonly seen stamped:

                That's really interesting. Actually I wasn't aware that the same core design was used for both cast and stamped cores. You learn something new often in this hobby.

                And yes, come to think about it, it seems there are more stamped cores using this deign than cast. Thanks also for sharing the photo of your very nice EK2 for comparison.
