PARIS clasp on two place medalbar

my latest find - and my first 1870/71 clasp
but what i really like is the border of the medalbar body - it have higher borders, that the ribbons couldn't fall off.
also the way it was attached to the uniform.
are these things common on 1870/71 medalbars?

I have one to a Bavarian with a similar attachment method. I've never seen the raised edges for keeping the ribbons in place but it was a good idea, especially to keep them away from those pointy edges!

Hi Christian, nice one!!! That type of raised edges is not uncommon but quite scarce.

Hi John, nice pair! What a personal Tragedy! In 1866 he could shoot at the Prussians and 5 years later they shoot together at another enemy.

          Best regards

          Daniel
