This is pretty interesting. I know there was an American organization of German veterans of the Franco-Prussian war. Do we think maybe this badge was for a similar group of WW1 veterans in the U.S.? There couldn't have been very many of them, considering the vitriolic anti-German propaganda that swept the U.S. in 1917-1918.

Any ideas what this was for?
