"Closed 4" EK2

I bought this EK2 thinking it might be a one piece, post war cross. It is instead a 3-piece, magnetic, and the frames are silver plated brass. No mm. The core is rough with old pitting and has been repainted. Overall, the quality is not very good. It has the "closed 4", which I've heard of but don't remember seeing one before. Is this a 1920's or 30's replacement cross? Gary

Maker is Assmann, also an opinion -- more like an educated guess.

interesting looking cross. i have no opinion on your question though. but the closed 4 is a feature i watch for. in my opinion it isn't found that often. any one else noticed this?

After seeing the cross posted by Gary, I decided to look through my
own and see if I had a "closed 4" example. .......and I do.

Trevor, I had never heard the Assmann connection before.
