    My First 1870 EK2. Finally!

I finally took the plunge and picked up an 1870 EK2, my first. I honestly don't know much about these. I know there are awarded pieces, Jubilee pieces from 1895 etc. I believe this one is a Wagner. Any other information? I picked it up over on GMIC. I believe it has previously belonged to member Dave B and author Gordon Williamson.

It's in better shape than the pictures show, but it does have paint wear. The core rattles in the frame. The frame is slightly larger than a 1914 EK2. The ribbon looks like it belongs with the cross, but who knows.

Some more pictures, including a better shot of the ribbon. Any way to tell if it's from the same era or maybe a 1914 ribbon?

With two from the other series. Just an 1813 to go. One of these days.......

That's a KO in the middle, and the 1939 is a 21 by Godet.
