EK2 - help with mm and opinions please

This is one I picked up awhile ago but have never been sure of the maker mark. To me it looks like "kaw" but I'm just not sure about the third letter. I don't think it's a "g" but on the other hand it really doesn't look like a clear "w" either.

If it actually is "kaw" is this mm rarer than "kag"? I noticed there isn't an entry for "kaw" in the EK data base.

Your thoughts and opinions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Ive not ever seen a KAW marked cross , has anybody got one to show ?
