Yes, that looks to be an incomplete KO mark. KO is an unknown maker who made many (most?) of the actually awarded EK1s. Many marks are found in this position. The cross seems to be a good KO, and the case is a nice and uncommon type. It is quite a bit thicker (taller) than an average EK1 case. I know this case type was correct for FR EK1s. Perhaps it's appropriate for a KO, too, or maybe it was added. Either way it's a nice original cross and a nice original case.

Thanks to both...I am familiar with KO and do have a marked KO EKII - didn't think of the fact that it could be an incomplete mark - learning, learning!
