      looks an awful lot like the 1914 1870 A-type version Trevor posted a while ago.

        Pity the ring is a replacement. Might have had a "WuS" marked ring... ?

          That's the one. Often marked WuS, and I find them to be exceedingly rare.

                  Very interesting. Please tell is why you think it is from "1939 or later." It has none of the signs I am used to seeing in a cross from that period -- either construction technique, design, or materials, from what I can see.

                    I personally like it. Just looks like someone decided to clean it, that's all, everything else looks a o.k. to me. Curious why you believe that this one was assembled at a later date?
