German soldier with M16 camouflaged and armor photo

Hello everyone,
I posted this image I (size cm.13x18cm.) of a German soldier with a helmet model 16 camo and a breastplate in trench.
In the rear there is a handwritten:"Noke 204 Splittenschutz".

I believe it says "Hohe 204" which puts it around Verdun.

This is a beautiful testimony of how the First World War changed the war.There were bats-iron as in medieval and armor in part and airplanes on the other.
