Wie gehts
I picked up these photos in a junk shop several years ago. It appears these pics were taken very close together in time, perhaps the same day. Anyway, I am presuming that the "general" is Gen. Oberst Friedrich II, Grandduke of Baden, mainly because he was wearing a standard baden officer's pickelhaube and he was the Chef of the JR113, whose spike covers are found throughout the pictures. Now my questions are: who's funeral is he attending, where was the funeral and what is the tie between the J.R.113 and the Res.I.R.256 at the funeral. Perhaps that tie can date the pictures. I believe the Res.I.R.256 fought in the east and was transported to the west for the 1918 offensive. Anyway, you "order of battle guys" may be able to piece it together.
