I have been seeking a reasonably clear image of Rudolf Berthold's PlM, now housed in the Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin. The only picture of it known to me is that in Edkins' book, which is of limited detail. Given the provenance and relative fame of this particular cross, kind of amazing, but so far searching in vain.
Do any forum members by chance have an image of better resolution? Any members in Berlin or vicinity willing to take a picture (if non-flash photography allowed, of course)? I would guess current digital camera technology could get a good enough image through the glass to allow for some zoom inspection of detail.
Being one of the last hollow gold crosses made during the war, the details of construction and finish would be very helpful to my study of the Pour le Merite.
Sure would appreciate any help or leads.
