Just in from Detlev, I'm very proud to now own this baby.

Detlevs estimate is 1820's, so I guess it can officially be displayed in my collection with the oakleaves to the reverse!!

One question you may help me with....

I am presuming from the size of the 'ribbon' ring, that this medal was once worn from an 'Ordensschalle' or 'Court Mount' - am I correct??

I have also posted a pic of the Previtera cross on page 36-37 that mine appears to match exactly.... I hope I'm not breaching copyright but I guess Stephen wont be reading this....
