    Füsilier-Regiment 122 - Urgent informations needed

    Hi guys,

I search all informations about the württemberger Füsilier-Regiment 122 (Heilbronn). Especially a short history when it took part in which battles. Thanks!

    IR 122 History

Dear Jens; I think that I recently have seen a history of the württemberger Füsilier-Regiment 122, and one of the following: IR 121, IR 123, or IR 124, for sale on ZVAB.com or abebooks.com. If one or two of these wuerttemburgishe Regimenten had histories written after WK I , very likely they all did. I have a friend whose family served in at least two of them, so they caught my eye. So log onto those and do a search. I think they were on sale in Germany.

Jens, I am scanning the four pages with the history of the 26th Division and e-mailing it to you directly. Tony

            Hello,

FR 122 didn't belonged to the 26. Infanterie-Division from May 1915 on! It was then transferred to the 105. Infanterie-Division.

            1914
            Longwy/Longuyon
            Varennes
            Lille/Messines
            1915
            Bzura (Polen)
            Przasnicz
            Galicia and Russian Poland
            Serbia
            Macedonia
            1916
            Galicia
            Kurland
            1917
            Lothringen
            Aisne
            Höhe 344
            Béthincourt
            1918
            Cambrai bis Moreuil
            Villers-Bretonneux
            Albert
            Römerstrasse
            Elsass

I hope this (very) short overview helps you a bit.

            Regards,
            Jan

I picked up on that too after I sent the scans of the 26th Div to Jens. Jens, if you want the same scans of the 105 Div, let me know. Tony

                Many thanks Jan! One question:

                1917
                Lothringen
                Aisne
                Höhe 344
                Béthincourt

Is it "Höhe 344" or "Höhe 304" (near Mort Homme/Verdun)? Because Bethincourt is a village north of Cote 304; I know this area very good.

Tony, could you scan them for the 105. too? Many thanks for the help guys!

Ok, got it. It is on the right/east bank of the Meuse near Samogneux. Just thought it was maybe a typo. Thanks Jan.
