    Hi,

    I ordered an item from Detlev's site yesterday, and I haven't heard back from Detlev if the item is still available or not. Would I have to wait for Monday to get the news? I know one day shouldn't be a big thing, but I am kinda anxious to hear whether or not someone beat me to it.

    Detlev only opens Monday to Friday. I'm sure you'll hear back tomorrow.

      Hi Richard, I was afraid of that. I was hoping that he answers orders that come in during the weekend. It's going to be a long day.....

        I actually think that Detlev's (or his Staffs's) customer service skills could be greatly improved. For example, I recently ordered several minor items. Never heard back one way or the other. Only indication it went through was the visa posting on my bank page. Hopefully they'll arrive soon. I had one piece from him a Sachsen Ernestine House Order 1st with swords that I was lucky to receive. It took over two months to get to the states and the envelope was totally destroyed. Not what I'd expect for a circa $700 piece.

        Great stuff at Detlevs, but the communications could improve . Just my opinion.

          Like Daniel, I haven't had confirmation on my last several purchases. Finally,(duh ) I realized I could check my CC records. As busy as he is on Fridays it's not surprising that he doesn't always notify you.

            Hello.
            Thanks for your comments. I do make it a point to answer every single e-mail,like last friday it was me sitting in front of the PC to answer orders as quickly as possible. Every friday several answer come back as "error",sometimes because the sender didn't write his correct e-mail adress,and sometimes because my firewall cuts it off. Also several e-mails arrive "blank",this means that on your side your e-mail software can't handle HTML parts. Due to several massiv and very costly attacks by whoever, I had to install a very sophisticated firewall.This firewall also "kills" mayn e-mails,also some friendly ones.

            Everyone who is in Hamburg on a friday afternoon is welcome to attend our 14.00 update and see us "in action". It's not an easy task to handle and answer aprox 250 e-mails in 1 hour (14.-15.00) but every single one gets answered.

            If an item is late or overdue I usually offer straight full charge back to the card, or credit against next purchase.Very few parcels actually get lost,most are just late and my influence ends where the first post offical has his hands on the parcels.

            Every item is well packed and fully insured by us.If something gets lost you get straight refund from me and I fight the post for the next year before I get the money back.

            There are many aspects in the service part which can be improved and we improve permanently.

              Well, Detlev answered me back early this morning and I got the document I wanted .
              Thanks everyone for your comments. I also appreciate Detlev's interest in posting on this forum. It shows that he is concerned about the quality of his service.
