What made this bar tracable is the MG3 and Japanese decoration.

Yes sir, beautiful and a nice variety of awards.

I should think that this bar would be “One of my favorite medal bar(s)” in any collection.

Doesn't look like that it's the same bar that is on the picture,
...also looks that he is wearing noncombat ribbon on the ek.

Perhaps a pre-war bar with the RAO4. I believe that would have moved up and off the bar by the time he was General or am I mistaken????

Of course not the same bar as on he picture, as the picture if pre, the bar post WW1. Still his - and a great one!

Gronau's awards included the RAO2EX and KO2 which at the time of the picture were is lesser grade and on the bar.
