        Waaaaaait a minute..........it just occurred to me that every "G" EK1 I have, or have seen, is flat. Every "GODET.BERLIN" EK1 I have seen in convex. Does anyone have a "G" that is convex or a "GODET.BERLIN" that is flat?

        If not, and if it is Godet for both marks, then we could have a typical "entry" quality pieces (G) vs. the more expensive piece (GODET.BERLIN) from the same jeweler. We all accept that this is a common practice, a fine example are the solid-backed (good quality) and ray-backed (high quality) Juncker marked flight badges. Similarly, I have two Meybauer marked EK1, one is the nicest quality EK I have ever seen, the other is much lower quality. Could this be a matter of items in a Godet catalogue?;

        EK1 flat- 4 RM
        EK1 Convex - 6 RM

            Hi to all,

            What a job this was as the mm(?) is so small i had to photograph it through a X20 glass hopefully you can see the mark, and agree it is a "G"

                My 'G' is definitely flat.

                  I hope these pics aren't too late to contribute to this discussion. They are of my vaulted 1914 Godet.

                        Yes! George, you are too late. To pay for this crime, please immediately send that Godet EK to Tony Schnurr, Fredericton NB Canada E3B 7G2.............

                          Thanks George

                          The same Obverse core as Claudios, AND the 'G' marked pieces (give or take the vaulting )

                          Now I can see NO reason why 'G' marked pieces can be anything BUT Godets....

                          This, Nimmergut EK 1. Kl. Glaser & Sohn.JPG as Claudio pointed out, seems to be the most compelling evidence against it
