    Hi Bananas,
Looks OK to me. What is the maker mark on the ring?
    Best regards,
    Michel

        Hi Banana,

that is up to you. At dealers these sell from 25 (if your lucky) - 40 - 50 Euro + shipping.

Check the E-stand for more prices, compare and draw your conclusion

        Hope that helps,
        Michel

Thanks for the input. Here's another one, however this doesn't have ribbon left. Is it real? The backside looks repainted IMO. Dunno if its a bad thing.

And while you're at it, could somebody tell me what this item is?

                  Hi Bananas,

the last one looks like a paper weight.. A sort of thing you keep on your desk while your country is at war... in 1914.

If the Ek2 <= 25 E I would go for it. About the weight.. what is the price? It has some kind of inscription at the back. If your a romantic person you could fantasize about the guy who had it on his desk keeping the war letters from his offspring safe from blowing out of the window... memorizing about the great victories in 1870 where he fought for the nation himself and about the war of liberation against Napoleon in 1813-15 when Blucher came to the rescue... but what the heck, I like it

                  Best regards,

                  Michel

                    Hi Banana,

I liked the paper weight. It was also the first I ve seen like that.

However, now I see the same one as yours on ebay:

                    http://cgi.ebay.de/RIESIGES-EISERNES...d=p3286.c0.m14

So suddenly they pop up? I am not so sure right now.

This one (not the nicest cast anyway), is the most common one:

                    Best regards,

                    Michel
