    Need Informations about General Gustav Ritter von Waagen

    Hi fellows,

    today I got a badges and documents group from the family of General Gustav Ritter von Waagen (no badges from himself , but from his son and other members of the family). Now I would to get as much informations about this man as possible.

    Gustav Waagen, born 30 April 1832 at Munich, died 25 December 1906:

    Entered the 2. Infanterie-Regiment as a volunteer on the 5th of December 1848
    11 Nov 1849: Vize-Korporal
    1 Dec 1852: Korporal
    25 Jun 1854: Junker in Infanterie-Leib-Regiment
    31 Mar 1855: Unterlieutenant
    14 May 1859 - 29 Aug 1863: Adjutant to Generalmajor Wolfgang von Ott,
    25 Nov 1863: Oberlieutenant
    1 Aug 1866: Hauptmann
    12 Sep 1866: Adjutant at General Command Nürnberg
    27 Nov 1876: Major
    23 Nov 1882: Oberstlieutenant in 1. Infanterie-Regiment
    30 Mar 1886: Oberst
    17 Apr 1886 - 7 Mar 1889: Commander 18. Infanterie-Regiment Prinz Ludwig Ferdinand
    7 Mar 1889: Generalmajor
    8 March 1889 - 1 Oct 1890 - 9 Jun 1892: Commander 5. (later 8.) Infanterie-Brigade:

    Awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Bavarian Military Merit Order as an Hauptmann and 1st Adjutant of the 1st Bavarian Division in 1871.

    He was enobled sometime after 1891.

              fantastic work - thank you very much!

              I wish the family would have had his Badges for me

              But I´m happy I got the badges of his son (incl. his IC 1st. class with gravure) and other members of the family.
