    Square punch and CD800 EK1

    Hello everyone , Id like to show you my two newest additions to my EK collection .

    A vaulted pinback Square punch and a cased Flat Core pinback CD800 ... they share striking core similarities .

    Any comments are most welcome .

                  Beauties. I too think there is a conection between these two crosses. The square punch is on the pin, which is different than mine, which is on the rear frame.

                    Thank you for the nice comment Steve ... Ive just been looking at your 1914 EK1 collection thread you own some very interesting variants . I particulary like the Square punch with the screwpost attachement system and the backing plate , thats another one to add to my ever expanding wanted list

                      It doesn't really end does it. I think you could find many variants with this square punch mark. There is also a few CD800 maker mark variations you can look for too, a couple which can be seen in my thread.

                            Steve , Ive only recently started collecting 1914 EK1 ,Im having a great time and really enjoying myself, I will be looking out for other variations of these two crosses they both have a nice quality .

                              You're off to a good start with these for sure. Try getting some of the flat wartime makers next. Some of them aren't too expensive. As for the CD800, the variants are in the maker mark. You have the most common one, there is one with CD800 all in one line, CD800 on the pin, and I have seen another pin variation.
