The strange Hanseatic Crosses continue, this time: BREMEN

Today I got this Bremen Hanseatic Cross with a two-ring suspension instead of the usual three rings. I suspect it is a private made example. Look at the different enamel of the center disc and the more vaulted ends of the cross arms. This cross is made from silver-plated copper.

The back is different too. Instead the usual plain surface it is center punched:

The center disc is made with "rays" under the enamel like this rare Godet cross. Maybe the "Bremer" is from Godet too?

Any hallmark on the Bremen cross's suspension ring?

            Jens,

What about the measurements and the weight of both crosses, just for comparing them? BTW congrats! You have got very nice Hanseaten crosses in your collection...

            Ciao,

            Claudio

                Bremen is 40 x 40 mm and weights about 16 g.

                Hamburg (Godet) is 39,4 x 39,5 mm and weights about 17 g.
