    Freiherr von Brockdorff signature?

I have a book with a dedication and 1924 dated signature by what I believe to be Freiherr von Brockdorff. Would anyone know which Freiherr von Brockdorff this is? Cheers, Torsten.

In Erinnerung an die ruhmreichen Karpathen-Kämpfe!
Weihnachten 1924 U.(?) Fr. von Brockdorff.

There was an Ulrich Freiherr von Brockdorff. He was a diplomate with the King of Danmark. But I am not sure if the first name in the dedication starts with "U" - Ullrich.

There have been a lot of "von Brockdorffs" as officers in the WWI Army.

          Hallo Torsten,

I think it is Walter Graf von Brockdorff-Ahlefeldt

          http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_...orff-Ahlefeldt

Please compare the "W" in Weihnachten and the first letter of his signature, it is the same "W".

          Uwe

Hi Gerdan, thank you very much ... it will probably be impossible to find a photo of him during WW1 ??
