Never seen that reverse set up before. Is the award magnetic? Do you have any information on the maker?

        Hi Don,
I do not know the maker, most of these crosses got no marks.
        But I assume it's a PRINZEN model as it's ~38 mm.

Now about if it is magnetic,I have to try it as I do not have here a magnet

I think the pin may be a replacement. Looks like there might be a different pin through the hinge and they've replaced the original pin with a needle pin. Is that evidence of some solder on the hook?

I believe also it is a replacement pin yes.
I remember that Mike Kenny has posted a PRINZEN Oldenburg cross with a replacement pin also.
Seems these crosses was way too senzitive and we hardly have examples from their real pins,so it will be good if someone got a PRINZEN example to post a couple of photos here.

Anyway,I like the cross as it is a combact, nice detail heavy piece, I cannot find easy a Prinzen Cross, not to mention that the seller doesn't "push" anything fake from his table

Thank you Scott,I know you too like Oldenburg crosses,so I am glad you like it.

I search a little our forum and I found Alan's display in a post, he has there a PRINZEN size I class and there you can see the difference between the usual Oldenburg I class Cross and PRINZEN.
I like the three dimension "pyramid" at the left and right arm that these crosses have....

PS:Great display too from Alan, worth a look
