EK 1 1870! Am i right that this is a copy?

Hi,

I thought that perhaps you can help me. As I regarded the piece because of its originality i thought it is better to have more opinions.
I think that this is a copy. For me it looks like a Latvian piece.
Am I right?

I think your are right.
I would bet this dates closer to 1970 than 1870.

Do you also think that it is a Latvian copy or only one copy without well-known origin?

To be completely honest, I can not find another match to it it my
files. It is not the common Latvian fake (see attached photo)
Your cross has the very large crown that is found on some 1930s
era crosses. It also has the overall appearence of a TR era cross.
(size and shape of arms) The mounting system is something that
we've seen on a lot of ebay crosses that have been "up graded"

I still think it's a fake but I can not show any proof.

thank you for your help. As i wrote it in my first Posting i'd doubts for myself and that was the reason for asking for more opinions.

I'll safe my money and spend it for a piece without any bad feeling.
