Does anyone know what the round device on this Kyffhäuserbund Medal ribbon is? It was on the medal when I obtianed it and looks to have been there for years. Many thanks!

The swords are appropriate. Not sure what the pip is. Can you show it closer?
The sword and wreath was for the German Honor Legion medals. The Kyff medals had swords and some are found with campaign bar devices. Here is a Kyff medal with sword device to compare. SteveComment

It almost appears from the pics that the button had some device attached to it and now maybe it became detached? Maybe it was some kind of regimental device once but now just has the mount remaining. That would be my guess. SteveComment
