          Nice collection...

I have been thinking about to start some Imperial German collection, and it looks like I have nearly found it.

I have to think about the criteria I would use, but I appreciate your comments!!! THANK YOU!

I still need EK1's L/14 Screwback and Pinback.

              Here it starts...

So I need the following at first!

Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin - Military Merit Cross, 1st Class

Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz - Cross 1st Class for Distinction in War, "Brave and Loyal" and Cross for Distinction in War, "Brave and Loyal"

Grand Duchy of Oldenburg - Friedrich August Cross, 1st and 2nd Class

Duchy of Brunswick - War Merit Cross, 1st and 2nd Class (but note that the 1st Class was only authorized in March 1918)

...I tried both Oldenburgs from Detlev today...I sent my Order two minutes after the update was online and still missed

Great thread!! I recently purchased a 1st and 2nd class Oldenburg Cross from Detlev and hope one day to have a fine collection as pictured here. That is if my German wife doesn't kill me first when she finds out how much I've spent in the last two months. John B.

                              Vadim,

Yes, that was the cross it was offered on Ebay recently. Thank you for your tip. I hope not to have stepped on your toes during the auction, though...

                              The price was ok...

                              Ciao,

--I can go from thread to thread and be fine and then I pop into one of this type where all of these beauts are together. Thanks for the mad pang of rare jealousy to go with my other current malady. I don't need this....
