A recent visit to the Imperial War Museum in London gave me the idea for this thread....On display at the IWM there's a really good representative selection of WWI german uniforms, equipment, weapons and even a few medals (including a superb 73rd Fusilier that Tony has a pic of at www.kaisersbunker.com -you can actually see a mind-blowing collection of shoulder straps mounted behind him) Obviously we have an international membership on this forum, and I wondered where they would recommend as good places to see collections of WWI German items in their part of the world....always useful if you happen to be travelling in that vacinity. As well as the IWM, I'd start the ball rolling with the Hooge Crater Museum in Belgium -great displays of combat uniforms and weapons- but I'm sure there must be other great collections on view elsewhere in Europe and the USA. Many thanks in advance for any interest, all the best, Paul.
