The text after the Wilhelmskreuz and the Bayerischer Militärverdienstorden 4. Klasse looks the same: "mit ...", so probably "mit Schw(ertern)".

            Thanks guy's.

The recipient was an artillery officer. Was this a typical combination of awards for an officer or is it a rare grouping? I am sorry if I appear ignorant but I know absolutely nothing about imperial awards, and therefore am trying to find out if these are standard medals or if there is something exciting about them.

The owner went on to become a very high ranking member of the Kriminalpolizei, reaching the rank of Kriminal Direktor, and I believe he was also an early party member.

            Thanks in advance.

In my opinion no rare combination.

What was Franz's fate after the war?

“Goldene Rote Adler Med.”? I find this to be a curious notation in that I do not recall ever having seen the term “Goldene” applied to this medal before.

As I understand it, this medal was founded, as a silver medal, in 1842. This form was awarded until 10 March 1871 when the design, mainly the monogram on the reverse, was changed - the medal was still silver until 1908 when it was changed to gold plate. The point is that gold and silver versions of this medal were never awarded simultaneously, there was never more than one class, so the use of the term “Goldene” is redundant; indicating either a clerical error or a case of puffery.

                        Is this not correct?

As yet the Wehrpass is unresearched, but when I find out his fate I will let you know. Will post more pics of the pass soon.

Please forgive my poor attempts at translating. Oh, and yes these are photocopies...I have not defaced the original!!!

could the Goldene(s) apply to the Wilhelmskreuz rather than the Adlermedaille? Cheers, Torsten.
