    General der ....

    Andy,

that old boy has two pips on his shoulder boards. I wonder if it is the Inspector-General of Foot Artillery - General der Artillerie Georg Kuhn?

The only Lentzen I have come across is a Veterinär der Reserve Lentzen commissioned into Reserve-Fußartillerie-Regiment Nr. 9 in 1915; another foot artillery connection?

    Regards
    Glenn

To have a relation to the age of Kuhn and Kipping (I cannot decide if it is Kuhn or Kipping)

      Kuhn: *1842 + 1929

      Kipping: *6 June 1865 + 20 March 1933

Now is my problem again..... I don't know, what is the name of the General? I think it would be a great help to see and compare some photos of General Kipping /Kuhn. Somebody who is able to post such photos ?

          Not Kipping

          Steven,

it cannot be Kipping. He did not progress further than charakterisierter Generalleutnant (17.2.21). The General "K" in your wartime photograph is already a full General (General der .....) as depicted by the two rank stars on the shoulder boards.

          Regards

You are right, the General in my photo is a two stars General (= General der....) and not a Generalmajor or Generalleutnant.....Ok, he is not Kipping. But are you sure he is General Kuhn ? Do you have some informations about Kuhn ?

              Kuhn

              Steven,

I never said I was sure it was Kuhn.

However with a Foot Artillery connection, the letter K and the Bavarian Military Merit Order 1st Class which General Kuhn was awarded on the 28.4.16, it makes him a very likely candidate. I will try and find a photo of him.

              Regards
              Glenn
